A piece of glass, a fish hook, or a bee stuck in their skin. The first you'll encounter has you moving a magnifying glass over part of their body looking for "sore spots". Most, however, will need more care in the form of a short mini-game. Some patients will need a simple bandage or other treatment. Afterwards, seat them at the diagnostic chair or bed, depending on their preference, and tend to their complaints. Most will need to change into super-comfortable hospital gowns first, so click them, then click the screens to let them change. Patients come in and take a seat at the top of the screen. Initially, you've got four main stations to take care of, each operated by a simple click of the mouse. This intro serves as the backstory, showing you how Allison was inspired to become a doctor. Click when the doc says click, find the items he needs, and you'll do just fine. Your first task is to follow a doctor's instructions to save a man's life. Just like a good TV medical drama, Heart's Medicine begins in media res, pushing you into the game without a warning. Most casual games start off by showing you the developer's logo, then dropping you into a title screen. Heart's Medicine is simply one of the most well-balanced and entertaining time management games you can find! The storyline is fantastic, the presentation is superb, and both the variety and the game's pacing are perfect. Help sick patients by tending to their needs, shuffling them through the hospital as efficiently as you can, never forgetting to take good care of each person. Heart's Medicine: Season One takes place in a hospital where the newly-arrived Allison Heart is just beginning her residency. You will be told just what to do, and it is not timed.From the developers of Delicious Emily's Holiday Season comes another gem of a time management game every casual gamer needs to experience. Trophies are earned as items for Allison's office. Hover over the upgrade and it will tell what bonus it gives. Upgrades are purchased with the hearts you have earned. You can access the shop between levels and buy upgrades for the department. They will be noted in the following walkthrough. There are 10 GameHouse Objects (Easter Eggs based on other GameHouse games) hidden in some of the levels. You won't fail the level if you don't complete the task, but you will earn hearts if you do. Some of the levels will have special challenges to be completed. When the game is first introduced, you'll be walked through how to play it. Tip: You can right click to cancel your queued actions. For golden heart patients, you get +2 and +3. You earn a combo bonus of +1 when checking out two patients at the same time, an additional +2 when checking out three or more. Once a golden heart is gained, that patient will not loose hearts. Patients that earn six hearts will have a golden heart. If you help the patient before the color in their thought bubble drains out, you earn two hearts. The faster you attend to the patients, the less likely they are to loose hearts. The amount of hearts the patient has at checkout is added to your score. The point of this game is to keep the patients happy so that they will check out with the highest possible amount of hearts. It has a good basic walkthrough before the first level begins, after the introduction scenes. You play as Allison, a new resident, in 5 hospital locations. Heart's Medicine: Season One is a short (25 levels) time management game with a hospital theme. ![]()
